This could be your starting line for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Brisbane

We’re looking for talented young Queensland athletes with Olympic-sized dreams to register their interest in being part of the Queensland Academy of Sport’s Talent Identification Program—You for 2032! This program is strictly for talent born between 1999 and 2009 inclusive, with Para-Sports accepting those who are a little older (i.e. 1992 to 2009 inclusive).

# Caution: our standards are high (because we want the best!) but if you think you have what it takes to win on the world stage pre-register now.

Further information will become available in January 2022 when we launch our application portal. By pre-registering you will automatically be prompted when applications are open.

This could be the first step in your Olympic or Paralympic journey. Good luck!

You for 2032—Program snapshot

The Talent Identification Program—You for 2032—has been designed to identify our next generation of elite athletes. The aim is to develop and nurture young Queensland talents who have the potential to win on the world stage at the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Athletic ability coupled with a great attitude to excel are the key ingredients in this program. Young athletes could be currently competing in a sport that isn’t part of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, but we may identity a sport that’s perfect for their athletic strengths.

Those successful in being selected for the program will receive substantial training, coaching and development support from state and national sporting organisations as well as the Queensland Academy of Sport. More details about the program will become available to athletes who are selected.

Once the application portal opens in January, an assessment process will take place, as indicated by the below diagram.

We have done our best to provide a testing location for all Queenslanders, across the state. In some very remote locations, we know that athletic talent is definitely out there. We are currently developing a slightly different approach to support talent in these locations. Send us an email at Youfor2032@dtis.qld.gov.au of where you would like us to visit!
